Our mind is a very complex and it’s difficult to understand it. It can become your best friend or your worst enemy. If you know how to work with it then it will become your best friend other wise it will make you mad. It will run here and there and never focus on one thing and you can do nothing in your life. Our mind is very fluctuate and very fast. In one sec it moves faster than light and brings you from one place to another. So many of us are worried about this fluctuating nature of our mind.
It is the nature of our mind that thoughts flow inside it continuously. Whether is is positive or negative the flow never ends. Mind can not differentiate between bad or good thought. It just allows the thoughts to flow endlessly. This flow even continues whether we sleep or awake. This creates the major problem in our lives. Because we have no control over that thought flow. Many person wants to control their mind and want to block that free flow of thoughts. This creates the conflict between your mind and you. This is just impossible for an ordinary man to black that flow of thoughts. Yogis or the saints they can do that. But ordinary man like us can not control our mind and block that thoughts coming to our mind endlessly.
We all knows that positive thoughts makes like beautiful. We can achieve anything with positive mind. But it’s not possible that only positive thoughts will come to our mind. Because we have no control over the thoughts. We all wants that negative thoughts should not come to our mind and make us worry. But is there any way so that only positive thoughts will flow not the negative thoughts. The answer is big NO. For example if you wish when ever I open my eyes only good things will be seen not any bad things. This is not possible. When you open your eyes what ever good or bad will be seen automatically, but the important thing is it never affects your eyes. If you saw a nasty place it will not lower down your eye power or if you saw a beautiful place it will not improve your vision. That means whether you saw any good or bad it does not affect your eyes. Like this if any thing happens or you have come in contact whether you feel good or bad that does not affect your brain. Brain just sends you the signal. when we understand this whether positive or negative thoughts came we have no problem with it.
When ever we accept the thoughts and never worry about what will happen it become powerless. We always try to replace the thoughts that creates the problem. When we resist the thought it becomes big and powerful and when we allow it to flow it becomes powerless. There are choices as the changing that situation is concerned and we can find a solution. But always we can not change the situation, it’s beyond our control for example like your past. Past can not be changed, many people will say just forget the past. We all know it is not possible to forget the past so easily. Whenever you try to forget the past it is reminded every time and we feel the pain. It is like saying something is in front of me just forget about it. How can you forget that thing which is in front of your eyes. So its not possible to completely forget the negative thoughts or events occurred in the past and it will come to your mind like a flow in intervals.
Now the negative thought came to your mind and running inside your mind. It may be anything. There are two kinds of negative thoughts. One is related to present situation which can be changed. Here we should change it and we should be solution oriented. For example if any body torturing you here you have to take action and not just forget about it will work here. You have to find a solution here. Second example is you loose your loved ones, what will you do. You can not forget them, where ever you will go their memories will come to your mind. You can run away from a person but you can not run away from a memory not you can act upon a memory. The more you want to forget , the more it will be remembered again and again. The more you want to forget your past, your wrongs deeds, your relations the more it will be come to your thoughts in your mind.
So what should we do. How to manage the thoughts and focus on our prime works and life goals. This is the main thing in life. Thoughts will come and go we can not block them. We have to live with this. Our body is like a camera it will see what ever comes on its way good or bad and it is recorded too. We can not expect to see only good. So bad thoughts will come. The main part is how to deal with it. Otherwise it will ruin our life and we can not focus on our goals. There is nobody in this world who is perfect. So you have to accept that you are not perfect too And don’t try to be perfect. We have to see the truth and overcome the illusion that i am perfect. I am not perfect and I am Ok with it. This world is not perfect and I am OK with it. This world will never be perfect and I am OK with it. When you become Ok with it the internal world become perfect. The outside world is not perfect but the inside world became perfect. The moment you accept yourself and think I am not perfect and whole world is like this i am not alone. If i am learning from my mistakes it is good for me. If I am not learning from my past just remembering it i am just wasting my time. It is just siting in a armchair it moves forward and backward but in reality taking you no where. So if you want to grow in life learn from your past and move on. Negative thoughts come and go just observe them never try to control or resist it. Learn from it and find the root cause and then act on that root not on the thought. Accept yourself completely the way you are and you become unstoppable.
You can work on changing your negative thoughts to positive ones by: repeating your positive thought over and over to yourself, out loud whenever you get a chance and even sharing them with another person if possible. writing them over and over. You can keep yourself busy in productive work to be a victim of negative thoughts too.
